VIDEO - One step closer to automated surgery

Researchers at UC Berkeley are creating a surgical robot that can perform routine procedures by learning from the motions of skilled surgeons. While the ever-present possibility for complications to arise in even the most routine procedures makes this a daunting task, the research team is confident that their work will move us one step closer to tele-surgery.
