VIDEO - Impressive Cold War technology

The 1970s was a time of secrecy and speculation, when the governments research projects and inner workings were kept secret for fear of national security. Yesterday, the CIA released a video detailing some of the technology they developed in this era. This video describes the "insectothopter," a dragonfly-like concealed listening devices that went little further than the prototype stage. Still, the small aerial device is an impressive piece of technology, particularly as it was developed 20 years before computers became widely adopted by the public. One can only imagine the level of technology the government is working on covertly now.
