VIDEO - Hydrogen from wastewater
Hyper Solar Inc. demonstrates their polymer-coated hydrogen-producing prototype. The company is understandably tight-lipped about specifics, but is one of several companies and laboratories developing similar technologies. The prototype is a simple square chip that absorbs energy from the suns rays, and when submerged in normal wastewater will bubble up hydrogen gas. Hydrogen is a clean and efficient means of storing solar energy -- the combustion waste byproduct is simply water.
