VIDEO: CERN presents its futuristic physics experiments

The European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN, and its Large Hadron Collider (LHC) have been the nexus of physics collider experiments for many years. ALICE uses a heavy-ion detector to exploit the unique physics potential of nucleus-nucleus interactions. By doing so, researchers can study matter interactions at extreme energy densities.
