US still big in nano
While the rest of the world seems to be catching up in other fields of innovation, the US still dominates in the realm of the ultra-small. Reuters reports on a study that found 54% of nano-related patents are filed by US-based inventors. Nanotechnology is slowly finding its way into widespread use, despite concerns of lacking safety regulation and costs of scalability. Still, nanotech has already secured its place in the future of technology, and an early head-start on innovation in this field can only work in America's favour.
