Tough Close to 2013 for InterDigital
Philadelphia based InterDigital Inc. has seen its patent dispute with cell phone manufacturing giants Nokia, Huawei, and ZTE get ugly in the past month. In the last 30 days the company's CEO William Merritt has accused Chinese regulators of threatening to arrest InterDigital representatives and the ITC has ruled against its patent violation complaint. The result of this turbulence has been a 10% decline in stock price, with IDCC trading at less than $30.00 on the Nasdaq as of this morning.
