In the President's State of the Union address on Tuesday he took some time to urge Congress to pass a patent reform bill in 2014, asking that they "...pass a patent reform bill that allows our businesses to stay focused on innovation, not costly, needless litigation..." Patent reform has been a priority for the President since last June when he issued a series of executive actions aimed at cracking down on so-called patent trolls.
