SAIC to modernize information technology of US Department of Transportation
Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) announced today it was awarded a task order by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to provide information technology (IT) modernization services. The FMCSA works to prevent commercial motor vehicle-related fatalities and injuries.The task order will be in support of Portal Modernization Stage Two of FMCSA's IT Modernization Program which will include a one-year base period of performance, two six-month options and a contract value of more than $15 million if all options are exercised. Under the contract, SAIC will provide IT modernization services in areas including program management, systems integration, software development, software and application maintenance, software testing, data modeling and training. Work will be performed primarily in Arlington, Virginia.
