Nortel Patent Buyers Accused Of Trying To Kill Android | eWEEK Europe UK

The ad-hoc patent group that offered $4.5 billion (£2.8 billion) for bankrupt Nortel Networks’ 6,000 patents is facing antitrust scrutiny for possibly conspiring to keep the technology from Google’s clutches. Nortel on 30 June sold its patents to Rockstar Bidco LP, the consortium comprising Apple, Microsoft, Research In Motion, Sony, EMC and Ericsson.
