ITC cracks down on troll cases

The ITC has been a venue of choice for non-practicing entities to assert their patent rights by way of import injunctions. CNET reports that a new pilot initiative launched by the court aims to reduce this practice.

The initiative will require companies bringing complaints to demonstrate that they are a well-established US company by meeting judge-established standards for US production.
