HP Reportedly Looking to Sell Off WebOS Patents

Several sources are reporting that HP's Meg Whitman is approaching potential buyers of HP's WebOS patents. Seeing as how their endeavors into the Smartphone market played out, HP might be looking to cut its losses and let someone else use the patents for protective purposes. It is unlikely that a buyer would be interested in rejuvenating WebOS as the operating system is now open source and the software owned by LG.
