Hospital to live tweet brain surgery

Tomorrow, neurosurgeon Dong Kim will pull back the curtain on a brain tumor resection during a live twittercast of the surgery. Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, Twitter name @houstonhospital, will live tweet consecutively for about 4 hours using the hashtag #MHbrain on Wednesday, May 9 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. CST. The play-by-play will include all steps of a brain tumor removal, including surgery prep, removal of the bone flap, resection of the brain tumor and closing the site. Viewers will see live videos, pictures and text describing the event as it happens.
