China's unmanned spacecraft returns from successful docking
In the modern space race, China bolsters its reputation as a serious contender with the return of its unmanned Shenzhou 8 spacecraft after a docking mission. The craft landed in China's Inner Mongolia region, having returned in a fiery descent after joining the Tiangong (Heavenly Palace) 1 module 210 miles above the Earth. By 2020, China expects to have constructed a complete space station. Despite recent success stories, China is still behind Russia and the US in space exploration accolades and innovations.
