Bangladesh power plant runs on waste
Two 50 megawatt and waste-fueled power plants are being built in Bangladesh by the Italian firm Management Environment Finance SEL. After 3 years and $900 million paid by the government, the power plant constructions will be completed within the capital, Dhaka. The costs are cheaper than diesel and fuel-run power plants. However, coal and gas-based power plants are still a cheaper (albeit less environmentally friendly) alternative.
