Agilent Tech upgrades Virginia Tech's department of chemistry

Yesterday, Agilent Technologies announced a large sale of equipment to the Virginia Tech department of chemistry. The undergraduate laboratory of Virginia Tech will have access to the following Agilent instruments: seven 5975C gas chromatography/mass spectrometry systems, half a dozen 240FS atomic absorption spectrometry systems, a 6100 series quadruple liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry system, a Cary Eclipse fluorescence spectrophotometer, a Cary 100 UV/Vis spectrophotometer, and an upgrade to the nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy console. Both the chair of Virginia Tech's chemistry department and Agilent's regional manager expressed excitement over the upgrade. All the systems will be used in undergraduate teaching labs.The financial details were not made available.
