3-D Film Patents Ruling Presents Challenges

A Delaware judge has ruled that Disney cannot prevent RealD from acquiring patents related to the process of transforming 2-D movies into 3-D movies in post production. Major studios may now be at risk of being sued when it comes to converting 2-D releases and Disney is even strategizing over the distribution of some of its recent 3-D releases.
