VIDEO: KOBOT "transformer" EV car at the Tokyo Motor Show
Kobot, the transforming EV car, is the brainchild of Kowa Tmsuk, a company created by medical instrument manufacturer Kowa and robotics manufacturer Tmsuk. Designed for casual civilian driving, the car can transform into a more compact version of itself with the touch of a button on a smartphone. The already small vehicle can thus fit into very tight parking spaces. Sensitive to the needs of pedestrians, the car has a low-speed mode and a Drive Mode which goes up to 30 km/h.
