PTAB Denies Institution of IPR Filed by Unified Patents

Last week the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, or PTAB, denied institution of an inter partes review of US 7,631,336 filed by Unified Patents. The decision was based on the fact that Unified did not establish a reasonable likelihood of prevailing with respect to any of the challenged claims (1-4 and 7-11).
