Oracle Can't Add New Theories To Lawsuit Charging Google Infringed On Java Patents

SAN FRANCISCO (CN) - A federal judge denied Oracle's motion to add additional patent infringement theories to its ongoing litigation against Google and the internet search giant's Android operating system, and also declined reconsider a ruling tossing out earlier contentions. The ruling is the latest blow to a case in which Oracle accuses Google of infringing on its patents for Java in creating the popular operating system.
