McKesson ExpressRx Track plan increases efficiency and prescription volume

McKesson High Volume Solutions will introduce ExpressRx Track this week in New Orleans at the 46th American Society of Health-system Pharmacists Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition. The ExpressRx Track is an automated, high speed conveyor-based solution designed for pharmacies that dispense around 3,000 or more prescriptions per shift. Some of the features of the ExpressRx include: inventory carrying costs reduction, enhanced safety, and easy interface to pharmacy management. The track fully integrates with a multitude of other pharmacy management systems, enabling a centralized view of prescription tracking with which pharmacists can provide patients with real-time feedback regarding prescriptions. According to the senior vice president, the addition of the system reduces labor resource demands and redirects that focus to programs for patients.
