Joggobot -- something to chase while running

Eberhard Grather, a researcher from the Exertion Games Lab has created a robot to accompany lonely runners. The robot uses a simply quad-rotor drone with an on-board camera that will fly along with a jogger wearing a specially designed tee-shirt. The device is obviously in prototype stage and, though I don't know as there will be all that much of a market for follow-along drones in terms of exercise, I see this as a technological step in the right direction towards some potentially very useful applications. "People suggested that they might feel chased if the Joggobot is behind them, so we designed the system in a way that it always stays in front of you."
