Google's driverless car gets its license
Nevada has approved Google's license application and issued the country's first autonomous vehicle license -- the driverless car is now legally allowed to drive the roads of Nevada. The vehicle had to complete its first driving test, and was approved "after demonstrations along freeways, state highways and neighborhoods both in Carson City and the busy Las Vegas Strip," as well as a review by the Nevada DMV. The car will bear a red license plate with an infinity symbol in the corner "to represent the ‘car of the future.’” Department Director Bruce Breslow said.
