Ecolab Inc. receives 2011 IDFA Innovation Sustainability Award

The 2011 International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) presented its Innovation Sustainability Award to Ecolab Inc. for its recent Envirocid Plus™ CIP (clean-in-place) cleaner. It was recognized for its zero-phosphorous, low nitrate acid CIP cleaner that both cleans processing plants and boosts their sustainability.

 

The senior vice president and general manager of Ecolab Food & Beverage North America, Timothy P. Mulhere, described how “regulations on phosphorus and nitrate discharge becoming an increasing challenge for dairy, food and beverage plants...” led them to develop Envirocid Plus to “...help our customers meet their compliance and sustainability goals.”
