Curiosity's descent

NASA video captured from a low-resolution 4fps camera on the underside of curiosity. The video begins with Curiosity's heat shield -- that protected it for the harrowing journey through Mars' atmosphere -- dropping away. The footage is of low resolution, and doesn't offer anything too exciting, aside from being Curiosity's first video from the red planet. Fortunately, once all the cameras (all seventeen) get up and running in the next week, we can look forward to some 720p video at 10fps, along with a whole variety of other interesting images.
