Cloud-based medical imaging solution launched yesterday

On November 28, 2011, Accenture and AT&T launched a new medical Imaging system that will enhance the capabilities of healthcare providers. The imaging system will allow professionals to store, share, and review medical images like X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and other medical images with ease. The system has the capability to increase radiology service management efficiency, match and supply demands of radiology facilities, and increase medical imaging management. Because of the system, collaboration between physicians and external hospital networking is facilitated, and, as a result, more patients can see by health professionals. The amount of data has grown exponentially since the switch from analog to digital imaging; the AT&T Medical Imaging and Information Managment solution supports this data storage with a cloud-based service stores images easily and reduces storage costs.
