AT&T Sues Cox for Patent Infringement

Last week AT&T sued Cox Communications for allegedly infringing 7 of its patents covering everything from DVRs to "packet loss or frame erasure" over a network. Cox's DVRs, set-top boxes, and digital telephone system are all considered potentially infringing products, but rather than seeking an injunction, AT&T is asking for "compulsory ongoing royalty" for future infringement.
