Apple v. Samsung: last chance at talks fall through
In many ways, I feel bad for Judge Lucy Koh. The district court of Northern California seems to get more than its fair share of high-stakes, high-publicity cases between massive companies with inflated legal departments that argue better than they cooperate. Today, both parties will give their closing arguments, and the jury will begin deliberation as to whether or not Samsung infringes on a number of Apple patents. The Judge asked the two parties to speak on the phone -- trying to reach an agreement one more time -- before today's point of legal no-return.
"I see risks here for both sides," Koh said last week.
