Apple Files Patents Tied to Liquidmetal

Last Thursday the USPTO published five Apple patent applications filed on the process of using Liquidmetal to build next-gen products. While still off in the distance the patents may indicate that Apple is thinking about incorporating the amorphous alloy, which boasts a strength twice that of titanium, into smartphones, tablets, and other digital displays.
