Anonymous hacks law firm, leaks Haditha killings e-mails
Anonymous hacktivists, in their latest high-profile attack, have exposed backroom political dealings that sought to reduce the penalty for convicted staff sergeant Frank Wuterich. The e-mail exchanges were hacked from the law firm Puckett & Faraj. In January, Wuterich admitted responsibility in a military court for leading a group of Marines to kill 24 unarmed Iraqi civilians at Haditha. Although he was demoted to private and sentenced to 90 days of confinement, according to the plea deal, neither he nor any of the marines will end up serving any time in prison.
