VIDEO - Quadrotor display at Cannes Festival

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, perhaps the world's largest advertising festival, is known for impressive artistic displays. This year, they've gone over-the-top. Using a swarm of quadrotor flying robots and carefully designed lighting, orchestrated by KMel Robotics. The show is an astounding marriage of technological precision and breathtaking visual effect. The performance mostly reminded me of Space Invaders -- a bonus, in my books -- and was even more impressive once I realized most of the lighting was from ground-based spotlights that tracked the robots.
